Bio
Jason Villarin is a Clinical Specialist at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, with special interests in pelvic health, complex pain, and hypermobility syndromes. He comes to clinical practice from the sciences. During college he studied and published in comparative ecological physiology. He went on to study adaptive muscle physiology for a PhD from University of California at Davis. He held research positions in Canada and the pacific northwest, investigating topics of aging muscle and mitochondrial metabolism. He transitioned to clinical practice after a DPT from the University of Washington. He completed his OMPT Fellowship training in 2016. Despite his technical background, Jason values narrative patient-centered clinical care.
