Bio
Joy Williams is a senior physical therapist (neurologic) in the Kaiser Permanente outpatient physical therapy department in Sacramento, California. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry in 2012 and with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2015. She completed the Kaiser Permanente Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Post-graduate residency in 2016 and is IPNFA PNF Level 5 certified. She completed the Shepherd Center Neurologic Physical Therapy residency in 2017 and Shepherd Center Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Fellowship in 2019. She is a board certified neurologic clinical specialist and has a specialist interest in the physical therapy management of neurodegenerative disease. Joy has been teaching in the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program since 2021. Outside of work, Joy enjoys spending time in nature with her family.
