Bio

Dr. Kulig is a Professor and Co-Director of the Jacquelin Perry Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Research Laboratory at the University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Physical Therapy and Education in 1976, and her PhD in Biomechanics in 1982 from the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland. She also completed a Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 1986. Dr. Kulig’s research is clinically motivated, theoretically informed and experimentally tested. Her laboratory aims to refine and continue to test the proposed framework for intervention and prevention of recurrent pain in the low back region and in lower extremity tendons. Dr. Kulig is one of the founding members of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical therapists.
