Bio
Nella Bracken graduated with her B.S in exercise biology from UC Davis in 2008. She then received her DPT from the University of the Pacific in 2010 and is now actively pursuing her MHA degree. She started her career as a PT working in acute care at Marin General Hospital before completing the Kaiser Permanente Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program in 2015. She became a board certified neurologic physical therapist and stayed in her San Francisco hometown, working at the inpatient rehab facility at Sutter CPMC/CPRRC. She is an APTA credentialed clinical instructor (ACCI) and enjoys working with students and new therapists. She now serves as a clinical rehabilitation liaison for the CPMC/CPPRC rehab and is a member of the unit’s traumatic brain injury specialty committee. Since graduating, she has remained engaged with the Kaiser Permanente Northern CA Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program, including involvement in the IV Step residency presentations (2016), teaching the inpatient rehab overview course, and now as a didactic instructor involved in curriculum planning. She is also a course instructor with the UCSF/SFSU DPT Program, assisting with the neurologic pathokinesiology course.
