Bio

Nella Bracken graduated with her B.S in exercise biology from UC Davis in 2008. She then received her DPT from the University of the Pacific in 2010. She started her career working in acute care at Marin General Hospital before completing the Kaiser Permanente Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency in 2015. She became a board certified neurologic physical therapist and stayed in her San Francisco home town, working at the inpatient rehab facility at Sutter CPMC/CPRRC. She is an APTA credentialed clinical instructor and enjoys working with students and new therapists. She now serves as a clinical rehabilitation liaison for the rehab unit and is a member of the unit’s traumatic brain injury specialty committee. Since graduating, she has remained involved with the Kaiser Permanente Northern California neurologic physical therapy residency program, including involvement in the IV Step residency presentations (2016), teaching the inpatient rehab overview course and she is now excited to play a larger role in the curriculum and didactics of the program. She has also guest lectured at UCSF/SFSU DPT’s program, focusing on traumatic brain injury rehab and is now a part of the lecturer pool for the neurologic pathokinesiology course. Nella is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor (ACCI) Level I.
